Unlike most other utilities, placing it down does not require a two-minute installation cooldown before it can be used, nor can it be installed anywhere outside The Ranch and its expansions. Their point isn't to 100% automate your ranch (although with that in mind i personally think drones do a bit too much. Slime Rancher has got to be my favorite stock market manipulation game. The Advanced Slime Drone is a player-created Utility gadget crafted at the fabricator at The Lab. I don't see how the lack of auto watering changes much of anything given how little work there is to begin with with drones.
1.4.0d - Fixed a Drones catch-up issue with Mochis and Ogdens ranch. Since 1.4.0 you also get advanced drones that makes it even less work. 1.4.0 - Added Advanced Drone, Chicken Cloner, Portable Water Tap, Portable Scareslime, Dash Pad, Fruit Slime Bait, Veggie Slime Bait, and Meat Slime Bait. You can set drones close enough together to hit 2 with 1 glob (and it acts as hitting both seperately) halving your actual work needed. As it stands now a drone can manage quantums even with catch up (presuming catch up doesn't bug out like its known to do at times) and all you technically have to do is water the drones. but i have to say if you have to constantly panic that they would run out in less than 24 hours (ingame) when 1 glob of water lasts for 28 ingame hours, you either don't realize the life span of a watered drone, or have some serious paranoia.
